Offered at $1 No Reserve Auction!! 1984 Rolex Submariner Date 16800 Selling a few watches from my personal collection This is one of my favorites worn daily for the last 2 years 40 year old classic Sub that has aged very well This Sub keeps better time that most of the newer subs I've owned It has everything that’s period correct. Crystal is perfect and crown has zero issues. Crown gasket is fresh. Correct period Oyster bracelet and clasp. No glow left on the original Tritium dial or hands which have aged very, very well. One thing to note, these dials had a 17-year run and they match what the watch should have and the same goes for the bezel. It shows its age. The dealer I bought it from said it was serviced within the last year, and I would tend to agree based on how the watch is running on the Timegraph (see pic) and how fresh the seals look. It does have the original insert that is turning a shade of blue from black. This watch wears just as well with blue jeans and a tank top as it does with a Tux. A timeless classic. I find this model a lot more comfortable and stylish that the new "boxy" look of the current subs. This watch will only increase in value. **Note, I have not had it pressure tested since owning it, so it goes on the desk when I'm out for water activities (The Seiko Tuna does water duties). I have no reason to believe it is not watertight as fresh as the gaskets look, but please have it checked before you submerge it. I currently am wearing it comfortably on my 7 1/4" wrist and it will include an additional matching link that I removed when I purchased it. I have been on ebay for more than 20 years now.
