The newer style features twelve holes for a tight seal. Older valves with fewer holes will adapt to this center plate. It holds the Caretaker's five pistons in place, as well as the gear train and o-rings. It attaches to the existing bottom and top plates and is contained by the Caretaker housing exterior.
